All proceeds go to securing rehearsal space for youMove’s 2010 Choreographic Residency Program.
2009 youMove Choreographic Residents have enjoyed much success. Sean Marc’s P.S, developed in 09 via the residency, won “Most Outstanding Choreography Wk One” 2010 Short, Sweet+Dance Festival.
Kevin Privett was the winner of Short and Sweet 09 “Best New Talent” and joining the residency program was part of his award. The resulting work, By Looking, was then invited to be part of youMove’s development project, Game On, funded by ArtsNSW.

Based in Parramatta, the company represents the best of Sydney’s emerging dance artists. Company members range in age between 20yrs - 26yrs and represent tertiary graduates from some of the best Australian and overseas training institutions.
Artistic Director, Kay Armstrong, renowned independent choreographer and 2004 Robert Helpmann recipient, brings her wealth of talent, passion and industry knowledge to this unique dance initiative.
Under her directorship youMove will inspire, guide and mentor the next generation of dance artists and provide professional development opportunities, scholarships, industry exposure, diverse performance experience, choreographic residencies and a platform where independent dance by both emerging and established choreographers can flourish
and develop.
Parramatta City Council and Western Sydney Dance Action are staging the biggest ever lunch time public Hip Hop class – Take off ya jacket, roll up your sleeves and groove on down to Parramatta Amphitheatre Church St Mall
