THINKING ABOUT FOREVER
Currently youMove are working towards the exciting project with the Australia Chamber Orchestra and their youth ensemble, The Parramatta String Players. With a score composed by the award winning, Matthew Hindson, and choreography by youMove Artistic Director, Kay Armstrong, Thinking About Forever, will be performed at Riverside Theatre, September 16th, 2pm. Initiated by Western Sydney Dance Action and the ACO, the project is supported by Riverside Theatres Parramatta and also features selected students from the Department of Education and Training, Western Sydney Region DANCE OFF! Camps.

September will be a busy month for youMove. They hit the road again to feature in the 2010 Brisbane Festival. They will be hotting up the streets with their unique verve and energy as part of the festival’s Street Feats, Under the Radar program.

Company members range in age between 20yrs - 26yrs and represent tertiary graduates from some of the best Australian and overseas training institutions. Closing the gap between post tertiary dance studies and a professional dance career, youMove is a unique one-of-a-kind company. Nowhere is Sydney will aspiring emerging dance artists receive such robust, meaningful and invaluable dance experience.
Artistic Director, Kay Armstrong, renowned independent choreographer and 2004 Robert Helpmann recipient, brings her wealth of talent, passion and industry knowledge to this unique dance initiative.
Under her directorship youMove will inspire, guide and mentor the next generation of dance artists and provide professional development opportunities, scholarships, industry exposure, diverse performance experience, choreographic residencies and a platform where independent dance by both emerging and established choreographers can flourish and develop.
